« back to classes page
Stone balancing is practiced by devotees as a form of meditation, relaxation, and creative expression.  Learn the various forms of rock-balancing from free-standing arches to single point balances, and the Japanese form of stone flowers.  These three forms will offer the beginner the basic fundamentals of stone-balancing from which you can advance to create natural art for both indoor and outdoor spaces.  All rocks will be supplied.  In class you will create your own Japanese stone flower to take home with you, and acquire a skill set you will polish for years to come.  Feel free to bring your favorite pet rocks for inspiration.  The skills involved - a combination of engineering and creative art, hone your mental skills, hand-eye coordination, focus, problem-solving perseverance and completion.   Great for kids!  Helps with concentration and calming - family fun!
