This afternoon we venture into the mountains to the breathtaking Alpine village of Seefeld. Enjoy stunning views as you travel by train 3,600 feet above sea level to this charming Tyrolean town. Known as one of the world's great ski resorts, Seefeld is home to miles of walking trails, lakes, fine shopping, dining possibilities and pure fresh Alpine air. Warm yourself, meet the locals with a glass of schnapps, and enjoy a traditional carriage ride before shopping in some of the quaint village shops.
This morning you cross the border into Germany while en route to the exciting city of Munich. First, enjoy leisure time to independently explore Munich’s historic area and the Christmas market. Then you’ll be introduced to its history on a panoramic tour featuring the Marienplatz, the Glockenspiel* and Olympic Park. Later, return to Innsbruck where the remainder of your day is at leisure.
Journey through the Austrian countryside to Salzburg, a city filled with beautiful gardens and wondrous architecture. Upon arrival, enjoy a leisurely paced walking tour featuring the Mirabell Gardens, a filming location for The Sound of Music, and Mozart’s birthplace – the quaint Getreidegasse.
