Mold Problems in the House

ID : 48722
« back to classes page
Fungi that normally live in our environment can grow on many different types of items in our homes from shower curtains to floor tiles following the accumulation of water. Mold growth is an indicator of an underlying water problem such as water leaks or excessive humidity, which must be fixed in order to prevent future mold growth. Indoor mold growth is of concern because it looks dirty, could cause health problems, and may damage whatever material it is growing on. There are several ways to detect indoor mold problems and eliminate them so that they do not reoccur. The detection of mold problems within the home, their remediation, damage that they can caused, and potential health issues will be discussed in the presentation.
