Get moving with this fun, high-energy, all-American folk dance! For both men and women, beginners learn steps to a slower tempo. Offered weekly on Thursday evenings, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Students must supply their own shoes with taps. Dietert Members recieve $1 off each participating class.

Enjoy and learn the fun of Square Dancing, every Tuesday evening, 7-9 pm. The caller/instructor will have you moving and swinging to the beat and calls.The various square dance movements are based on the steps and figures used in traditional folk dances and social dances from many countries. These intermediate dancers meet weekly on Monday evenings, 5:30-6:30 p.m. to concentrate on polishing their skills and then sharing Appalachian clogging with the community. It is primarily a performance group, but performance is not mandatory. Anyone clogging on an intermediate level is welcome. Line dancing is fun, physical, and mental exercise for both men and women and requires no partner.  It's choreographed to all kinds of music too, not just country-western but also waltz, samba and tango. Join the fun on Mondays, 2:00-3:45 p.m., Wednesdays 3:00-4:30 for Beginners or Thursdays, 2:30-4:00 p.m. Dietert Members receive a $1 discount for each class.

If you want to dance in Texas, that means shuffling on a hardwood floor in a Texas dance hall.  This class will teach you the basics of the traditional country dances you'll use during a night out.  In Texas, that means the basic 2-step, traditional waltz, cotten-eyed joe, variations of the schottisch and put your little foot, along with variations such as the triple step/country swing: double 2-step and partner waltz.  No partner required!
